Abbey - Champion Kamelott's Lady Abbey

Abbey has been a real joy from day one. She is a loving (lap sitter), "smiling"  (I'm not kidding), bouncing, very eager to please, obedient, and intelligent Beardie. Oh, yes, a bit mischievous at at times. Her favorite pastimes are playing ball and herding the cats. She also loves to go to the dog show!!  I began to show Abbey as a puppy. We had a lot of fun but we didn't compete well against the professional handlers. So when she was about 18 months old we selected our wonderful handler Kathy Kalos (I highly recommend her. To go to Kathy's website click here). Once they got acquainted her show career took off. Shortly thereafter, we were ecstatic when she won Best of Breed and then a group IV in Troy N.Y. (above left photo). She has gone on to win multiple Best of Breeds (over specials) and Best of Opposites. Her career culminated with an Award of Merit at the Bearded Collie Specialty in Augusta NJ. August 28, 2004. (Above right she poses with her Award of Merit)

Since then we bred her to Champion Brigadoon It's All About You, better known as "Bailey". We are thrilled to announce the whelping of her first litter Christmas 2004 ! ! ! What a way to spend the holidays! See their photos by clicking on the Puppies page

We have decided to keep one of the puppies and begin yet another adventure in the show ring. Our new girl is Cuthberts Christmas Rose.

Abbey's parents are something for her to brag about. Her father "Tuxedo Jake" was the Pedigree Award winner and the #1 rated Bearded Collie in the United States in 2002. We were thrilled to watch him take the Herding Group at Westminster. Abbey's mother Tali was no piker in the show ring either. She quickly finished her championship and has had three wonderful litters since.
